J.Crew is Dip Dyed and Neon

Hello and Happy Monday! I wanted to share this image from J. Crew's latest catalog.

I love that these dip-dyed, neon-painted stools make an appearance. They highlight J.Crew's clothes perfectly, while displaying a delightful decorating trend. As an added bonus, these stools would make a very simple DIY project. I like the gray version, but think the neon pink color is great, too. It's certainly a fun and simple way to inject a little neon into your scheme. Which color would you choose?

Dancing Polka Dots

Moen is promoting a new spot resistant finish for their faucets with a commercial featuring dancing polka dots. Like another Moen commercial I really enjoyed, the graphics here are bright, clean, and simple, making for a cheery and whimsical concept.

Look Twice

I was browsing through the latest Flor catalog when I saw this image. 

Look familiar? I had posted about this home's interior here back in March. Once again, I am completely captivated. It's gorgeous! Here are some different shots of this same space from the designer's website, Buckingham Interiors.

I love noticing the subtle design details and changes for the catalog styling—modified table setting, the addition of that orange chair and child's seat, and of course Flor carpet tiles. But really this space is so stunning, they did not have to change much to make it the perfect backdrop.

Gorgeous styling. Incredible photographs. The images below are a collaboration between designer Monique Keegan, owner of Enjoy Co., and photographer John Urbano, for Aerie. Together, they have created a fantasy land in which I would happily live. These vintage scenes offer vibrant pops of color, abundant texture, pretty florals, and a touch of typography. Perfection!

Spread the Love

I love doughnuts, especially Krispy Kremes, so it was only a matter of time before these melt-in-your-mouth treats would inspire me. Valentine's Day turned out to be the perfect occasion, when Krispy Kreme released this commercial that is almost as sweet as the doughnuts themselves. I invite you to watch Spread the Love...



Black and white concept, cheerful soundtrack, adorable outfits (hello polka dot dress!), with an original glazed doughnut at the end. Could it be more perfect? I would jump in and live in this world in a heartbeat.

Delightful styling...well done Krispy Kreme!

Inspired by Starbucks

Have you seen the latest Starbucks commercial?



It is a really inspiring ad! Starbucks is collaborating with the Opportunity Finance Network to start the Create Jobs for USA Fund. The Starbucks Foundation is matching individual $5 donations with a $5 million investment to support and sustain jobs in small businesses.

Great graphics, animation, and inspiring music all support a simple, yet powerful message. Work together to support small businesses and jobs will grow.

Now that's an idea we can all drink to!

Fashionable Reads

I spotted this ad for Macy's that features their latest designer collaboration--Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse. 

I just love that this rich, vibrant background is composed entirely of books. I find myself carefully studying the image over and over to see if I recognize any of the titles. Do you see any of your favorites? 

I think this ad is so beautifully styled!

Oh, and I'll take a pair of those shoes too, please...

Plates, cups, and dishes...oh my!

I spotted a fun example of graphic wallpaper above a backsplash in a recent Moen faucet commercial entitled "Washing Dishes."

I especially love how the big, bold silhouettes are paired with the stainless steel counters, faucets, backsplash, and shelf. So clean and simple. Great styling!
