Finding Beauty

Finding beauty in a distressed old barn outside of Cooperstown, NY. My fiance and I explored the area one weekend in early November and discovered this striking scene.

Finding Beauty

A special post today for our veterans. Here is a detail shot of the Freedom Wall at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. There are 4,048 gold stars on the wall, each representing 100 Americans who died in the war.

Thanks to all for your service!

Finding Beauty

Inspired by this post, we thought it would be fun to start a new series on The Pink Chalkboard called Finding Beauty. Here is where we'll share the beautiful things that we stumble upon in our day-to-day travels. These images make us happy and we think you might enjoy them, too.

First up is this street art hanging in Philadelphia, just a block or two away from Brooklyn Flea Philly. I can't resist rainbow-colored art!

Finding Beauty

Things have been pretty busy for me lately but I still try to stop and appreciate beautiful things I come across each day. Two favorite finds from my trip to Chicago – this corner of flowers

and this great pattern found on the side of a building.

Doesn't it look like a collection of tiny bow ties? I love it!
