A Visit to Isabella Sparrow

If you had a chance to shop at Clover Market this year, chances are you discovered Isabella Sparrow, where vintage home accessories and reproduction pieces easily captured the day. Lucky for us, Isabella Sparrow has a new home right in Bryn Mawr, PA! I had a chance to stop by during the store's opening weekend and fell head over heels. This cozy shop is filled with amazing finds that are styled beautifully, and the interior is so welcoming. Warm wood floors, dark gray walls, industrial and farmhouse furniture, with a dose of sparkling silver, all come together to create the perfect shopping experience. Here is a glimpse!

Lots of great Christmas present ideas (hint, hint)! Visit Isabella Sparrow here

Jewelry Display DIY

While en route to the Hudson River Valley a few weeks ago, I stopped at the J.Crew outlet in Woodbury Commons and found this clever necklace display.

Jenny's closet redo and jewelry display is still fresh in my mind and this is a simple way to do that. Just spray some bottles in silver and gold and add to your closet or vanity. Such a simple and pretty way to display your favorite necklaces and bracelets.

Rhinebeck, NY

For years I've heard about the Hudson River Valley and recently had the opportunity to go for the weekend. My mom and I traveled there and fell in love with the town of Rhinebeck

It's an adorable town with pretty buildings, great shops and restaurants, and lots of colorful bits whether you're looking up at he multi-colored trim on this shop

or down at the fall flowers and arrangement.

My three favorite things about the town? The stationery and gift shop, Paper Trail (I have the same chandelier in my bedroom!),

this delicious French bistro restaurant (loved the steak frites!),

and this stunning chandelier.

I saw it in the window of a liquor store. I just wish I knew where to find one for myself!

Abstract Art

I'm a big fan of abstract art. But art that looks like something I could do myself? Even better. Wouldn't something like this be fun to use as inspiration for your own masterpiece?

Found in the lobby at the Ritz-Carlton Westchester, it would look great hanging above a couch or even above a low headboard.

The graphic quality and contrast between the light blue background and black is what first drew me to this but wouldn't it be lovely, too, if it was a little more subtle in, for example, a light gray and white combo?

Made

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of meeting Rachel Ford, owner of Made—a fashion school in Philadelphia that offers classes and workshops on the fine art of tailoring and couture sewing techniques. Rachel is an entrepreneur committed to cultivating a supportive fashion community in Philadelphia, and she is determined to bring back the lost art of creating well made and beautifully hand-crafted clothing to the United States. Spend just a few minutes with her and you'll be inspired to dive into the fashion world yourself—or at least learn to sew :)

The Made studio, located in Old City, is an amazing space with tall ceilings, hardwood floors, exposed wood beams, and incredible light thanks to a gorgeous wall of windows at the front of the building. Of course it is beautifully styled with dress forms, industrial shelving, and clusters of feathers. See for yourself!

Be sure to check out Made's website and visit the studio for lots of creative inspiration and design goodness.
